PROCESS ENGINEER (M/F/D)

-REPORTED TO PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT-

Your area of responsibility:

  • Metallographic analysis and evaluation of components made of steel and non-ferrous metals to ensure the highest quality standards.
  • Planning, implementation and optimization of heat treatment processes, theoretically sound and practically oriented – ideally with experience in continuous furnaces.
  • Root cause analyses and problem solving: You will lead and coordinate systematic root cause analyses, create test plans and implement measures for process optimization, with a focus on heat treatment.
  • Further development of production processes: you identify optimization potential, implement projects to increase efficiency and quality and support the continuous improvement process (CIP).
  • Store floor management & key figures: As a moderator, you will drive the further development of production metrics and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Documentation & Compliance: You create and maintain work instructions, document processes and production-related projects and accompany test series and verification measures.
  • Customer communication: In the event of complaints or process optimizations, you represent the company competently to customers and ensure transparent solutions.
  • Risk management: You evaluate technical product and process risks and derive preventive measures.
  • Occupational safety & order: You ensure compliance with occupational safety standards as well as order and cleanliness in your area of responsibility and drive their continuous improvement.

Our requirements:

  • Completed technical studies (e.g. materials science, materials engineering, mechanical engineering, production engineering or comparable qualification).
  • Sound knowledge of the heat treatment of steel materials – both theoretical and practical.
  • Experience in the metallographic examination and evaluation of components.
  • Analytical skills: You get to the bottom of problems in a structured way, create test plans and implement measures in a targeted manner.
  • Process thinking: You enjoy optimizing production processes and taking responsibility for driving projects forward.
  • Strong communication skills: You impress with clear and solution-oriented communication – both internally and externally.
  • Moderation skills: Experience in leading store floor management rounds or CIP workshops is an advantage.
  • An independent way of working and a high level of initiative round off your profile.
